Dr. Aileen Gariepy sold a three-bedroom, two-bath townhouse at 419 Quince St. in Center City East to Catherine Durieux Maxwell and Robert A. Maxwell for $425,000 on May 28.

Gariepy paid $525,000 for the property in 2006. The 1,304-square-foot house was built in 1965.

Dr. Gariepy is a staff physician at Magee-Womens Hospital and is affiliated with the Jefferson Center For Women's Medical Specialties. She also is an instructor of obstetrics and gynecology at Jefferson Medical College.

She graduated from Cornell University in New York in 1996 and received her M.D. from MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine. She is pursuing her M.P.H at the University of Pittsburgh, where she is also completing her first year in a family planning and contraceptive research fellowship. She finished her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

There were 322 home sales in Center City East in 2008, with a median sales price of $335,000.
