Specialty materials co. engineer buys Philadelphia 2BD

Adam M. Loyack and Fernanda Tavares bought a two-bedroom, two-bath home at 866 N. Taney St. in Philadelphia from Maria Berni for $355,000 on Oct. 30.

Berni paid $295,000 for the property in Dec. 2003. The 1,249-square-foot house was built in 1920 in the Fairmount neighborhood.

Loyack is a product development engineer at Rohm and Haas Electronic Materials, a company that develops and innovative technologies and solutions for the specialty materials industry.

He previously held various positions at Rohm and Haas such as process development engineer, project manager and lead process design engineer.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 17,099 home sales in Philadelphia during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $106,000.
